Here are some of our favourite festive holiday spots for either a day trip full of seasonal cheer or a vacation to simply soak up all of the festive atmosphere.

London spots at Christmas

Must-See Department Stores

Fortnum & Masons, Harrods, Liberty, Selfridges and Hamley’s all host some of the most famous festive displays channelling the cities seasonal mood. Our most loved store has to be Fortnum and Masons with its stunning advent window display, upbeat food hall and in-store dangling Christmas pudding installation. Be sure to book in for an afternoon tea - there’s nothing quite like a glass of champagne, traditional pot of English breakfast tea and a mince pie on the 4th floor at the heritage Piccadilly flagship store - without a doubt our most delicious tradition!

Regent Steet & Carnaby Street lights

The dazzling Christmas lights that adorn this entire stretch create a mesmerising scene, making these streets any photographers dream to capture the city’s holiday spirit.

The Natural History Museum Ice Rink

The best time to visit is during the late afternoon or early evening when the winter sunbathes the surroundings in a warm glow. The ice rink illuminated with colourful lights sits adjacent to the grand architecture of the museum creating a festive iconic ambiance that is truly one-of-a-kind.

The Royal Albert Hall Christmas Carol

Christmas isn’t complete without Carols at the Royal Albert Hall. These special concerts have become a favourite with our family over the years with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra bringing the hall to life with some Christmas classics.

Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park

Experience the world’s ultimate festive destination with a variety of attractions, rides, entertainment, food and drink hosted by Hyde Park.

Christmas at Kew Gardens

Embarking on this night time adventure light trail and following the dazzling displays and instillations is a unique and magical experience. The palm house and end display across the lake illuminating the sky in various hues is always our biggest highlight.

Southbank centre Christmas market

Stroll along the Thames under twinkling lights and sample indulgent drinks and scrumptious street food from the traditional alpine-style chalets.

Covent Garden Christmas Tree

Every year Covent Garden’s iconic 60-foot British grown, handpicked Christmas tree is adorned with over 30,000 lights and wrapped with a picture perfect bow it makes the perfect backdrop for a family photo!
