How to care for your decorations

Store in a cool, dry place:
Keep your decorations away from heat and moisture to maintain the scent and integrity of the threads. A linen drawer or decorative box stored in a cool, dry area is ideal.
Dust remover:
Use a soft-bristled brush or microfibre cloth to gently remove dust. Regular light dusting helps keep the fabric and embroidery fresh.
Minimise touching:
Try to handle your decoration as little as possible. Natural oils from your hands can cause the threads to tarnish or weaken over time.
Storage tips
Avoid direct sunlight:
Prolonged exposure to sunlight may fade the linen and thread. Store your decorations out of direct light to keep colours vibrant.
Gentle cleaning
Spot clean only:
For minor marks, gently dab with a soft cloth dampened in cold water. Avoid harsh chemicals, which may damage the linen and threads. Never soak or submerge the decoration.

When moving or adjusting decorations, wearing clean cotton gloves helps avoid transferring oils or dirt.
Acid free tissue:
Wrap each decoration individually in acid-free tissue paper to protect the fabric, prevent tarnishing of metallic threads, and shield from dust.
